1. WHAT DOES THE NAME "SURGIDEN" MEAN?

The name implies a fusion of the disciplines of Surgery and Dentistry and the equipment that can be used for both. The Theramax™ veterinary lift table is available in both a Surgical [SX] and Dental [DX] model. Recently we've introduced our newer Theramax SXs and Theramax DXs models to meet the needs of "cat only" clinics and those seeking a solution with an even smaller clinical space footprint.

2. WHAT MAKES THE SURGIDEN™ THERAMAX™ PRODUCT DIFFERENT FROM OTHER VETERINARY TABLES ON THE MARKET?

The Surgiden™ Theramax™ tables combines total mobility and powerful features all within a self-contained design. No other table combines all these features while also giving you the flexibility you need. Simple put; take a patient from induction, into the operating room, and then wheel them back to recovery without ever physically moving the patient from the table. Bolted down "fixed" tables can be cumbersome to maneuver around and tie up precious clinical space in the process. True mobility means you can roll the Theramax™ table when & where you need it. The 4 medical-grade castors lock easily in place ensuring the table doesn't move during procedures. Its 250LB lift capacity handles even the biggest patients while the lockable stainless steel V-fold panels can be positioned to hold even the smallest patient. The entire tabletop tilts to ensure proper positioning and drainage during procedural work. Its 1.5 gallon fluid drainage basin makes surgical pails and spills on the floor a thing of the past. This removable basin and grille component empty easily at any sink! With no fixed hookups necessary, the dental components, dual 1-liter water bottles, and silent compressor are all integrated neatly within the table design. All onboard electronics are powered by the integrated multi-outlet power strip with outlets to spare for your own gear!

The Theramax™ is a total update of an essential component in any clinical setup. Whether surgery, dentistry, or routine ear flushings; Theramax™ can handle it all.

3. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE THERAMAX™ SX AND DX MODELS?

The Theramax™ SX and Theramax™ SXs are the surgical only versions of our veterinary surgical table and do not include the integrated dental functionality of the DX [dental] models. The surgical models includes under-the-table storage for things like gauze packs and surgical suction devices which can plug directly into one of the four internal switched power outlets right on the table!

The Theramax™ DX and Theramax™ DXs models adds dental functionality to the veterinary surgical table through the inclusion of an integrated dental console, silent compressor, and dual 1-liter water bottles. The 1/2 horsepower 1.5 gallon dental air compressor is hidden beneath the table and replaces the storage availability found on the SX models. The standard configuration of the dental console includes (1) high-speed and (1) low-speed handpiece as well as air/water syringe. The dental console is mounted on an articulating arm which allows it to be positioned either flush to the table during patient transport or close to the operator while performing dentistry.

Both models [SX/DX] are configured on the same physical chassis and include the full array of advanced features and total mobility you can only find with Surgiden veterinary wet lift tables.

4. WHAT ARE THE PRIMARY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE THERAMAX™ SX/DX MODELS AND THEIR SXS/DXS COUSINS?

Put simply, the overall length of the tabletop surface is the big (pun intended) difference. Our full-size SX/DX models are 65.25 inches in length while our smaller SXs/DXs models are only 48 inches in total length. These smaller tables were designed with the primarily-cat clinics in mind and for many of our Asian markets, which are faced with even tighter physical space constraints. The Theramax™ SXs/DXs models are also a great option for those small animal practitioners that don't require a larger surface on a regular basis.

Because of the smaller physical size, the removable basin has also been redesigned to be slightly shorter in length while still holding approximately 1.5 gallons of fluids. Finally, the horizontal tilt functionality of the larger tables is not present on the smaller SXs/DXs models simply due to product design constraints. Even without this "tilt" functionality, fluids have no problem collecting in the basin through the integrated drainage conduit

5. WHAT IS THE PATIENT WEIGHT CAPACITY FOR SURGIDEN™ VETERINARY LIFT TABLES?

All Theramax™ product lines of veterinary surgical and dental wet lift tables have a rated capacity of 250 Lbs. Now, that's a big dog!

6. WILL THE THERAMAX™ SX/DX FIT IN MY CLINIC? WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS?

Both the Surgiden™ Theramax™ SX and DX veterinary wet lift tables share the same space requirement footprint. Table-top dimensions are 65.25" x 18.5" wide and its height is electronically adjustable to a patient operating height between 34" - 50."

The Theramax™ is a fully mobile wet station. Clinic space limitations often make non-moveable or traditional wall/floor mounted "lift-style" tables obstructive with little flexibility. Medical-grade locking castors on all our veterinary wet lift tables facilitate patient transport to any room in the hospital. This allows the practitioner to take patients from anesthetic induction, through therapy, and all the way to recovery without physically moving the animal from the station.

7. HOW DOES THE REMOVABLE DRAINAGE BASIN AT THE HEAD OF EACH TABLE WORK?

The blue/green ABS plastic drainage basin collects all procedure fluids via a stainless steel conduit that runs the length of the entire table. In addition (and especially for dental procedures) the Lexan® grille is ported to catch any fluids during dentistry. The full basin easily detached from the front of the table for easy cleaning at any sink. The clear grille is also completely removable and shatter-resistant. Its 1.5 gallon fluid capacity ensures surgical pails and table-side buckets are things of the past.

8. IS THE THERAMAX™ SURGICAL OR DENTAL WET LIFT TABLE HEATED?

No, the surfaces of the Theramax™ are not heated. While we do get this question while comparing to other tables out there, we have found that as a patient heating system, a heated table surface is not as effective as the warm air solutions we promote. Besides being one more set of elements [hot water tubing / integrated electrical heating] which may potentially fail, it also does not do as good a job regulating patient body temperature. On the clinical side, we have been using patient warm-air heating systems for years and have found they envelop the entire patient much more evenly and in a controlled manner instead of heating a patient from underneath.

9. CAN THE THERAMAX™ DX/DXS DENTAL LIFT TABLES BE CUSTOMIZED TO MY CLINIC'S SPECIFIC NEED?

Each practitioner has his/her own individual preferences regarding handpieces and therefore we offer several configurations options of the dental console. Optional high-speed drills equipped with a fiber-optic light source allow for far better visualization when operating in the back of the mouth. This is especially important as overhead surgical lighting is often difficult to position in order to reach the far back of a patient's mouth. The dental console is also available in a dual high-speed drill configuration. In such a setup, the second high-speed drill is in addition to the standard single high speed + low-speed drill + air/water syringe. Powerful and flexible, such a setup reduces the necessity of constantly changing out burs while minimizing patient anesthetic time during multiple surgical extractions. In addition, the accessories available for all Theramax™ models (see following question below) make this one of the most versatile and practical veterinary wet lift tables for clinics of all sizes.

10. WHAT ARE THE OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES AVAILABLE FOR THE THERAMAX™ WET LIFT TABLE?

Accessories available for all our Theramax™ veterinary surgical and dental tables include a special halogen surgical spot light that remains cool to the touch, an integrated IV fluids pole with mount, laptop or instrument trays on articulating arms, and surgical suction devices for fluid management. 11. FROM THE TIME OF PURCHASE, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SHIP A TABLE TO MY CLINIC?

Current shipping costs and times vary and are calculated based on your shipping location. Most tables are built to order and shipped within 4-6 weeks from the time of purchase. Depending upon current inventory levels at the time an order is placed, a table may be shipped sooner. Each veterinary lift table is individually hand-assembled in our Maryland location and tested before it leaves the plant.
